While all those who visit Halong Bay are charmed by the archipelagos beauty, few visitors are aware that the three-thousand islands that dot this bay are home to many rare plants, including species found nowhere else in the world. We chose our boats nameHalong Gingerbecause, like the plant it was named after, our junk is perfectly suited to this environment. With its golden sails, polished woodwork and refined, Asian décor, the Halong Ginger offers an unforgettable ambiance of relaxed elegance. Join us, and see Halong Bay in style. Measuring 38 meters (125 feet) long and 8 meters (23 feet) wide, our custom-built wooden junk features three decks, all outfitted with elegant Asian inspired decor. The lower deck is devoted to Passenger Cabins, with sleeping space for 20 people. The Reception, Restaurant, Ginger Bar, Gift Shop and Library are all located on the main deck. On the top deck passengers will find the Sunset Bar and a spacious lounge area, perfect for our morning Tai Chi classes, weekend BBQs and sunset cocktails. Guests are welcome to make use of our binoculars, snorkeling equipment, and top-of-the-line Canadian made Seaward kayaks.
Day 01: HANOI – HALONG (Lunch, Dinner)
08h – 08h30: private car pick up to Halong Bay, stop on route to relax or sightseeing on the way 12h30: Welcome aboard and set sail through bay while lunch is served. Please into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth.
After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with golden sails, go swimming on a quite beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. Later afternoon, visit an interesting fishing village with opportunity to interact with fish men who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. Back on board and enjoy cocktails while watching sunset and later unwind at restaurant for a lavish dinner
Day 02: HALONG DISCOVERY (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, transfer to your day – trip boat with private crew and cruise to the bay’s most untouched area. Enjoy swimming on quite beaches, visiting water tunnels, fishing villages or kayaking. Lunch served on board by your private chef. Return to the mother boat for the night.
Day 03: HALONG – HANOI (Brunch)
6h30: Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. 7h30: Breakfast After breakfast, a short trek to a nearby summit. 9h30: Return on board for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Private car transfer you back to hotel in Hanoi
